Summary

It's been decades since anyone set foot on the moon. Now three ordinary teenagers, the winners of NASA's unprecedented, worldwide lottery, are about to become the first young people in space--and change their lives forever. It's the opportunity of a lifetime, but little do the teenagers know that something sinister is waiting for them on the desolate surface of the moon. And in the black vacuum of space...no one is coming to save them.

In this chilling adventure set in the most brutal landscape known to man, highly acclaimed Norwegian novelist Johan Harstad creates a vivid and frightening world of possibilities we can only hope never come true.

My reading experience

Wow! This book was AMAZING!

I never heard about this book before I started watching booktube videos. There were so many booktubers recommending this book and they woke my interest. So a couple of month later I bought 172 hours on the moon. So a couple of days ago I started reading this book.

The story start with an exciting prologue that made me very curious about the rest of the story. From the first chapter I was hooked to it. I liked the characters and the worldsetting. So I read this book with a lot of enthusiasm.

When the story continue it became creepy. When they arrived on the moon strange things start happening. It scared me and I LOVED that. I have never felt so scared while reading a book. Because I've a great imagination it was if I was on the moon myself. I also read this book during full moon, which I could see very good because I was reading next to the window. This created a lovely mood that matched the book perfectly. So when I was sitting in the moonlight I continued reading and I felt in love with this horror/science-fiction story. The book also read very fast and I had to finish it at one night because it was so shocking and thrilling.

What I also liked about this book was the fact that there were pictures in it. These black white photos gave the story something extra. They made the book realistic, which is great because it's sci-fi

So yes I really enjoyed this book and I'm glad I bought it. The story was so great and I really want to read more books like this. I highly recommend this book if you're searching for a good horror story. One day I'm going to reread it.
